For several years he served in the Congregational [[Church]] at Newtown, Conn., but in 1732 conformed to the Church of England, and was ordained )by the [[Bishop]] of London in that year. He served as missionary at Newtown and [[Reading]] for 50 years, and died March 8, 1782.
