He studied at Breslau, Jena, and Leipsic; in 1730 was pastor and co-inspector at Christianstadt; in 1734 archdeacon and assessor of consistory at Sorau; in 1751 general superintendent at Hildburghausen; and died, April 24, 1771, as first court preacher, member of consistory, and superintendent of the duchy of Weimar.
