After his liberation in 1814, he returned to England, and subsequently entered the ministry, and was settled at Aylsham, Norfolk. Here he remained for twenty-nine years, and then removed to Downham, in the same shire, and was pastor eight years. His last settlement was at Malton, Yorkshire, where he died, Aug. 29, 1855. an English Baptist minister, was born at Acle, near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. In his youth he followed the sea, and was taken a prisoner of war by the French and confined at Arras for upwards of five years. While in prison he became a Christian.
