Shortly afterwards he received license to exhort, and in 1834 united with the Ohio Conference. In 1838, in addition to his pulpit labors, he was induced to take charge of the Methodist Seminary at Parkersburg. He died in 1841. Mr. [[Baldwin]] was a devoted Christian, a warm and sympathetic preacher, an affectionate and generous parent, and a firm and constant friend.
