He experienced religion at the age of sixteen; soon after wandered away into folly and sin; in 1792 was reconverted, and in 1798 entered the travelling connection of the New [[England]] Conference. Six years later he located and removed to Homer, N. Y., and four years afterwards resumed the itinerant labors. For five years he continued to preach, then ill-health obliged him to again locate, which relation he held until his decease, Dec. 19, 1821.
