Austremonius (or Stremonius), St.
apostle, and first bishop of Auvergne, was one of the seven illustrious missionaries sent into Gaul by the pope about the middle of the 3d century (A.D. 250, according to the Hist. of the Martyrdom of St. Sacurninus).
