He went to Paris, and there 'distinguished himself as a preacher; became rector of St. Merry's, and in 1756 bishop of Canaillon. He died Sept. 5, 1760. He wrote, Panegyrique de St. Louis (1754):-Discours sur les Maliages, on the occasion of the birth of the duke of [[Burgundy]] (1757): - Mandements: -and Instructions Pastorales.
