<p> a Presbyterian minister, was of Irish extraction. He was born at West Nottingham, Md., April 3, 1750. He graduated at [[Princeton]] [[College]] in 1773; was licensed by the Newcastle [[Presbytery]] in 1777, and in 1782 was settled at Elizabethtown, N. J. He died Jan. 19,1816. He was an able preacher and a good pastor. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer. Pulpit, iii, 390. </p>
