Arnulf (or Arnoul)
a learned prelate of.the 10th century, was elected bishop OF Orleans in 986. On Jan. 1, 988, he crowned Robert, son of Hugh Capet; he rebuilt the Cathedral of Orleans; and took charge of the council in June, 991, in the church of the Abbey of St. Basil, in order to depose Arnoul, archbishop of Rheims.
