He was licensed by the [[Huntingdon]] Presbytery, and ordained and installed pastor of the Presbyterian [[Church]] of Clearfield, Pa., where he remained until death, which was occasioned by the car in which he was sleeping falling over an embankment three miles west of Pittsburgh, Jan. 12, 1869. - See Presbyterian, 1869.
