He emigrated to England, but returned to [[France]] under the Consulate, and assisted in editing certain papers, among others the Journal des Cures, and afterwards became inspector-general of the university. He died at Versailles, Dec. 12, 1825. He translated into French Fox's work, History of the [[Reign]] of James II (published in 1809).
