He was one of the first pupils admitted into the [[Waterford]] School, and for many years was connected with that institution. His services were not limited to the education of the young, but for upwards of half a century he was a useful minister among the Friends. He often travelled as a messenger of [[Christ]] through his own country and Great Britain, and once visited Canada. He died Jan. 5, 1873. See Annual Monitor, 1874, p. 1. </p>
