David Aldrich [1]
a Baptist minister, was born in Cumberland, R. I., Jan. 14, 1781. He was a graduate of Brown University in the class of 1806. - Having pursued a course of theological study with the Rev. Dr. Gano, pastor of the First Baptist Church at Providence, he was ordained; to the work, of the Christian ministry, under the direction of that Church, and settled as pastor of the Church at Goshen, Conn. Ill-health compelled him to retire from the ministry, and he lived during the remainder of his long life on a farm in his native town, holding various civil offices, and in many ways making himself useful in his day and generation.
