He continued in this employment, with a short intermission, until the death. of the cardinal, when he became secretary to [[Gregory]] XV. In 1624 [[Urban]] VIII sent him as nuncio to Venice, but the contagious distemper which ravaged Italy in 1630 obliged him to retire to Friuli, where he died in 1632. an Italian ecclesiastic, was born at Bologna, Nov. 20,1570. He was educated under the care of his uncle, cardinal Philip Sega. After his death, Agucchio was appointed secretary to cardinal Aldobrandini, and attended him when he went as legate to Henry IV of France. He continued in this employment, with a short intermission, until the death. of the cardinal, when he became secretary to Gregory XV. In 1624 Urban VIII sent him as nuncio to Venice, but the contagious distemper which ravaged Italy in 1630 obliged him to retire to Friuli, where he died in 1632.
