She afterwards married Otho I, emperor of Germany, and so acted as to win the esteem and affection of her people. She died Dec.16, 999, at'Seltz, on the Rhine, at the monastery which she had erected there twelve years before. Although never formally canonized, her festival is marked, in several modern martyrologies on Dec. 16. St. Odilo of [[Cluny]] has written her Life, which is given in Surius..
