nḗ - rı̄´as ( Νηρ ( ρ Ο2 επ ) ίας , Nēr ( e ) ı́as ): The Greek form of Hebrew Neriah found only in Baruch 1:1 as the father of Baruch = "Neriah" of Jeremiah 32:12; Jeremiah 36:4 ff; Jeremiah 43:3 . To Baruch's brother, Seraiah, the same genealogy is ascribed in Jeremiah 51:59 .

( Νηρίας ), the Graecized form ( Baruch 1:1) of the name of NERIAH (See Neriah) (q.v.), the father of Seraiah and Baruch ( Jeremiah 45:1; Jeremiah 51:59).
Another Nerias or Neriah is mentioned by Josephus (Ant. 10:9, 6), and also by the Jewish record Seder Olam, as a high-priest, son of Uriah and father of Odeas or Hosaiah; but the reference is probably to Azariah 15 ( 2 Chronicles 31:10). (See High-Priest).
