Ἠδίκησαν , Vulg. evasively, A.V. "strove;" but different from the וִיָּרַיבוּ of the preceding clause, Ἐμαχήσαντο , Jurgiun Fuit, "strove") with him for the possession of it ( Genesis 26:20). Isaac seems to have therefore relinquished it.
