MALCHIJAH. 1. A descendant of Gershom ( 1 Chronicles 6:40 [Heb. 25]). 2. A priest, the father of Pashhur ( 1 Chronicles 9:12 , Nehemiah 11:12 ), same as Malchiah of Jeremiah 21:1; Jeremiah 38:1 . Jeremiah 38:3 . Head of the 5th course of priests ( 1 Chronicles 24:9 ), perhaps the same as the preceding. 4. 5.
