<p> a Presbyterian minister, was born in Ashland County, O., April 10, 1835. He graduated at Jefferson [[College]] in the class of 1856, and entered the United Presbyterian Seminary in Allegheny at the opening of its next session. He was licensed as a minister in 1859, and received a call from the united congregations of [[Calcutta]] and East Liverpool, O., and was installed as pastor in April, 1861. He died of consumption, Oct. 6, 1862. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, 1863, p. 356. </p>
