<p> a Congregational minister, was born at Pomfret, Connecticut, November 2, 1742. He graduated at Yale College in 1760; was ordained over the South Church in Ipswich, Massachusetts, in 1765, and continued pastor there until his death, November 16, 1827. Dr. [[Dana]] published several Sermons and Addresses. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer. Pulpit, 1:597; Cong. Quarterly, 1859, page 42. </p>
