James Lyon Crane <ref name="term_35426" /> 
<p> a Congregational minister, was born at Leesville, Ohio, February 25, 1822. He received his preparatory education at [[Cleveland]] heights Academy, and until 1864 was a farmer and manufacturer in [[Berea]] and Oberlin. He was ordained as an evangelist at Morenci, Michigan, November 22, 1865; was acting pastor there until 1867; at Adams from 1867 to 1872; at [[Bedford]] from 1873 to 1876; at [[Michigan]] Centre and Napoleon from 1876 until his death, August 15, 1877. </p>
