<p> a Presbyterian minister, was born at Ossipee, N.H., May 25, 1826. He graduated at Dartmouth [[College]] in 1850, and from 1853 to 1856 was a student in Union Theological Seminary. He was ordained November 5, 1856; was pastor at [[Clifton]] (S.I.), N.Y., from 1856 to 1857; and from 1858 to 1873 was a teacher in New York city. He died there, in October 1873. See Gen. Cat. of Union Theol. Sem. 1876, page 77. </p>
