William Frazer [1]

a Scotch prelate, was promoted to the see of St. Andrews in 1279, and was consecrated at Rome by pope Nicholas III, June 14, 1280. About the same time he was lord chancellor and witness to king Alexander III. In 1288 he was chosen to be one of the regents of the kingdom, and after the death of queen Margaret he yielded a forced submission to Edward I of England. He died at Arteville, September 13, 1297.
