Joseph B. Adams [1]

a Presbyterian minister, was born in Chester County, Pa., in 1801. He made a profession of religion in 1819; graduated at Jefferson College in 1820 and Princeton Seminary in 1826; and entered the ministry of the Presbyterian Church in 1827. In 1828 he was employed by the American Sunday school Union for the purpose of establishing Sabbath schools through the states of New York and Pennsylvania. He labored in Georgia as a missionary for nearly three years, when he removed to Alabama and joined the Tuscaloosa Presbytery. He died at Eastoun Pa., July 5, 1865. See Wilson, Presb. Hist.
