From &nbsp;Ezra 2:36; &nbsp;Nehemiah 7:39, he appears to have belonged to the family of [[Jeshua]] (973 of his relatives having returned with him from Babylon), so that he is probably the same with the priest [[Jedaiah]] enumerated (&nbsp;Nehemiah 12:6) amongst the contemporaries of Jeshua who returned with [[Zerubbabel]] (the name apparently being repeated in &nbsp;Nehemiah 12:7; comp. &nbsp;Nehemiah 12:19; &nbsp;Nehemiah 12:21, where the same repetition occurs, although with the mention of different sons), and probably also identical with the Jedaiah whom the prophet was directed to crown with the symbolical wreath (&nbsp;Zechariah 6:10; &nbsp;Zechariah 6:14). ῥ B.C. 536-520. </p>
