Jacques David [1]

a French poet and theologian, who was born at Annecy, and lived about 1536, was judge at Velay, and left Historia Dedicationis Ecclesiae Podii Anciensis in Vallalvia, etc. (Avignon, 1516); three royal songs, four ballads, and ten roundelays, in praise of the Virgin Mary, with an orison (Lyons, 1536).
