Francois Regis Craner [1]

a Swiss writer of the Jesuit order, was born at Lucerne in 1728. After the suppression of his order, he taught ancient literature at the gymnasium of his native city, where he died in 1806, leaving a German translation of the AEneid of Virgil (1783): and Dramas, gathered from Swiss history.
