Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible [1]

Chusi ( Jdt 7:18 ), mentioned with Ekrebel ( ’Akrabeh ), is possibly Kuzah , 5 miles S. of Shechem and 5 miles W. of ‘Akrabeh.

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature [2]

( Χουσεί v. r. Χούς , Vulg. omits), a place named only in  Judith 7:18, as near Ekrebel, and upon the brook Mochmur. If the history be at all genuine, this was doubtless in Central Palestine, but all the names appear to be very corrupt, and are not recognizable. (See Judith).

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia [3]

kū´sı̄ , kū´si ( Χούς , Choús ): A place only named in Judith 7:18, as near Ekrebel on the brook Mochmur. It was in central Palestine, and has with some probability been identified with Qūzah , a village 5 1/2 miles South of Nablus and 5 miles West of Agrabeh (Ekrebel).
