(Heb. with the art. hash-Shemaah' הִשְּׁמָעָה , The Rumor ; Sept. ‘Ασμά , v.r. Σαμαά , aa) , a Benjamite of Gibeah, and father of Ahiezer and Joash, who joined David at Ziklag (l Chronicles 12:3). B.C. ante 1054.
