(Heb. Abi', אֲבַי , My Father, or rather Father Of (See Abi)-; Sept. ‘Αβί, Vulg. Abi), a shortened form (comp. 2 Chronicles 29:1) of ABIJAH (See Abijah) (q.v.), the name of the mother of King Hezekiah ( 2 Kings 18:2, where the full form is also read in some MSS.).

A´bi, the mother of King Hezekiah ( 2 Kings 18:2), called also Abijah ( 2 Chronicles 29:1). Her father's name was Zachariah, perhaps the same who was taken by Isaiah ( Isaiah 8:2) for a witness.
