Bosora [1]
( Βοσαρᾶ and Βοσοῤῥᾶ ), a strong city in Gilead, taken by Judas Maccabaus (1 Macc. v, 26, 28), doubtless the same as the BOZRAH (See Bozrah) (q.v.) of Moab ( Jeremiah 48:24). But see Schwarz, Palest. p. 223.
