(Heb. Beyth hash-Shimshi', הִשִּׁמְשִׁי בֵּית; Sept. ἐκ Βαιθσαμύς, ὁ Βαιθσαμυσίτης ), an inhabitant ( 1 Samuel 6:14; 1 Samuel 6:18) of the BETH- SHEMESH (See Beth-Shemesh) (q.v.) in Judaea.
