BABI . Head of a family which returned with Ezra ( 1Es 8:37 ); called in   Ezra 8:11 Bebai .

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature [2]

( Βαβί v. r. Βηβαί ), a chief Israelite whose "son" returned from Babylon ( 1 Esdras 8:37); evidently the BEBAI (See Bebai) (q.v.) of the genuine text

( Ezra 2:11), which also recurs in the same verse of Esdras.
