<p> a minister of the Methodist Episcopal [[Church]] South, was born in [[Brunswick]] County, Virginia, February 8, 1804. In 1822 he entered the [[Tennessee]] Conference, in which and in the St. Louis [[Conference]] (after 1874) he served efficiently as preacher, missionary to the Indians, and editor of the [[Memphis]] [[Christian]] [[Advocate]] (1854), until compelled to take a supernumerary and finally a superannuate relation. He died March 16, 1883. See Minutes of Annual Conferences of the M.E. Church South, 1883, page 75. </p> <p> </p>
