He was educated at [[Westminster]] College, New Wilminigton, and studied theology in the Allegheny Seminary. He was licensed to preach by [[Lakes]] [[Presbytery]] in 1862, and became pastor successively at Neshannock and West Salem, Wisconsin. He died May 20, 1865. He was an earnest, pious, and zealous laborer in the Master's vineyard. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. Almanac, 1866, page 259. </p>
