He accepted a call from Octorara and Piquea, and was ordained. In 1727 he was directed to spend every sixth [[Sabbath]] at Middle Octorara. The Forks of Brandywine composed part of his field till 1734. In the progress of the great revival a large portion of his congregation left him and joined the [[Brunswick]] brethren. He continued pastor forty-four years, and resigned, his congregation agreeing to pay him twenty-five pounds yearly during his life. He died Nov. 23, 1768. (W. P. S.) </p>
