a Bolognese painter and very eminent engraver, was born about 1498, and studied painting under Lorenzo Sabbatini, and engraving under Marc Antonio. He executed a number of pictures for the churches of Bologna, among which is a fine painting representing the Souls in Purgatory, in San Stefano. He died about 1570.
