He served for several years as one of the bass singers in the choir of the pontifical chapel, and in 1814 became musical director. He died at Rome in 1844. His compositions were very favorable specimens of the severe ecclesiastical style. His [[Miserere]] was long performed in the services of the Sistine [[Chapel]] during [[Passion]] week.
