He became a member and secretary of the [[Academy]] of the Animosi at Venice, and was also a member of that of Arcadia at Rome, under the name of Demade Olimpico. In his latter days he was master of the choir and canon of the ducal [[Church]] of St. Mark. He died at Venice, June 23, 1743. He carried on an extensive correspondence with the most eminent scholars of his age. His writings are few in number. </p>
