Alen (Or Allen), Edmond,

an English clergyman, was a native of Norfolk. He was elected fellow of Corpus [[Christi]] College, Cambridge, in 1536; proceeded A.M. the year following; and became the steward in 1539. It is said that he was buried in the [[Church]] of St. [[Thomas]] Apostle, in London, Aug. 30, 1559. He translated into English, Alex. [[Alesius]] de Authoritate Verbi Dei (12mo): — Phil.
