He made a profession of religion in 1819; graduated at Jefferson [[College]] in 1820 and [[Princeton]] Seminary in 1826; and entered the ministry of the Presbyterian [[Church]] in 1827. In 1828 he was employed by the American Sunday school Union for the purpose of establishing [[Sabbath]] schools through the states of New York and Pennsylvania. He labored in [[Georgia]] as a missionary for nearly three years, when he removed to [[Alabama]] and joined the Tuscaloosa Presbytery. He died at Eastoun Pa., July 5, 1865. See Wilson, Presb. Hist. In 1828 he was employed by the American Sunday school Union for the purpose of establishing Sabbath schools through the states of New York and Pennsylvania.
