Ira [1]
1. The Jairite ( 2 Samuel 20:26).
2. "Ira the Ithrite," i.e. of Jattir, a town in the mountainous region of Judah, which David haunted in the time of Saul's persecution, and to which he sent presents for his friends from the Amalekite spoil ( 1 Samuel 30:27). One of David's guard ( 2 Samuel 23:38).
