<p> [[Caraglio]] (Lat. Caralius), Giovannni Giacomo, </p> <p> an eminent [[Italian]] designer and engraver, was born at [[Verona]] or [[Parma]] about 1500, and studied at Rome under 31. A. Raimondi. He flourished as an engraver on copper from 1526 to 1551, and died at Parma in 1571.
